Do you work nationwide, or only in Tampa?+−
Tampa Bay is the home market — Spring Hill, Tampa, St. Pete, and the surrounding counties every week. We also deploy nationwide and internationally for CAT / large-loss moisture mapping, fire and water protocols, industrial hygiene, and insurance assignments. Call (352) 293-1495 with the city and we will tell you how fast we can be on site.
Do you take international jobs?+−
Yes. If the loss, the plant, or the carrier is outside the U.S., we quote travel and deploy. Bring the address, the concern, and the timeline — we will tell you if we can make the window.
Do you serve Tampa, or only Spring Hill?+−
Both — and the rest of Tampa Bay. We regularly work Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Wesley Chapel, Brandon, Brooksville, and Hernando, Pasco, Hillsborough, and Pinellas Counties. U.S. and international work is in addition to that home market, not instead of it.
Are you a Florida licensed mold assessor?+−
Yes. Mold assessments are performed by inspectors licensed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. We are licensed and insured.
What is the difference between a mold inspection and mold remediation?+−
Inspection and assessment find the moisture source, the extent of growth, and what the air actually contains. Remediation is the physical removal. We do the investigation, sampling, protocol, and clearance. That separation is what insurance carriers and attorneys want.
Do you assess fire damage and test for combustion byproducts?+−
Yes. We do fire-damage assessment and write restoration protocols — what to clean, what to replace, how far smoke and water from suppression actually went. Combustion byproducts testing covers soot, char, ash, and acidic residues on surfaces and in HVAC, with samples to accredited labs. Call (352) 293-1495.
Can you support an EHS manager or corporate safety program?+−
Yes. We work as a field resource for EHS and safety managers — noise and hearing conservation surveys, chemical and dust exposure monitoring, WAG in healthcare, and other industrial hygiene work that needs accredited lab data and a written report. Call (352) 293-1495 with the site and the standard you are answering to.
Do you work with insurance companies and restoration contractors?+−
Every week. Third-party moisture mapping, CAT / large-loss protocol and scope development, remediation oversight, and clearance sampling are core services. Rick Laird has spent three decades in restoration and environmental work — the reports are written for people who have to defend a scope.
How fast can you get to a Tampa water loss or hurricane claim?+−
Call (352) 293-1495. Storm and CAT work is prioritized because moisture maps go stale. We deploy for residential, commercial, and industrial losses across Tampa Bay, nationwide, and internationally when a carrier or contractor needs a third-party map.
What does indoor air quality testing include?+−
It depends on the complaint. Typical Tampa Bay surveys look at mold spores, VOCs from finishes and cleaners, carbon dioxide and ventilation, particulates, and sometimes targeted chemicals. We sample, send to accredited labs, and explain the numbers in plain language.
Do you test for asbestos, lead, and Chinese drywall?+−
Yes. Asbestos inspections before renovation or demolition, lead paint surveys with XRF, and Chinese drywall investigations (visual corrosion, sulfur compounds, and lab confirmation) are all in scope.
How much does a mold inspection in Tampa cost?+−
It depends on square footage, number of samples, travel, and whether you need a full protocol. Tampa Bay jobs, out-of-state deployments, and international sites are quoted from the actual address. Call (352) 293-1495 with the location and concern.
Will I get a written report?+−
Always. Findings, photos, lab results, and recommended next steps. For CAT and industrial work you also get protocols, exposure data, and clearance documentation suitable for insurers, OSHA programs, and counsel.
Are you the same as a duct-cleaning or HVAC company?+−
No. We are indoor environmental consultants and industrial hygienists. We measure, document, and write the scope. If someone only wants ducts cleaned, that is a different trade. If you need to know what is in the air — and prove it — that is us.
